Shanghai Health City

====Conceptual design proposal====

Shanghai Health City is a multi-disciplinary facility that can provide services covering the full spectrum of health and well-being; from preventative medicine to ‘state of the art’ spaces for the care and treatment of the infirm. The complex consists of inpatient / outpatient areas, day procedure centres, and medical research facilities, accommodation for visiting staff and patients’ families, and preventative medicine complexes to promote health and wellbeing. . The outpatient areas occupy multiple levels of the building and their design takes into account complex processing and care relationships to maximise efficiency, catering for some 5000-6000 patients per day. These areas incorporate emergency services, including a trauma centre and high-acuity emergent areas with anticipated patient presentations of over 150,000 per annum.
