Halliford

Eccles House is a masterly conversion of a disused commercial glass façade into a residential project. The building has been given a new lease of life and its austere and blunt glass façade has been transformed into a three dimension sculptural element. The building now instead of being a misfit has become the nexus of the two differing streetscapes of Ecclesbourne Road and Halliford Street. The interiors connect the various levels through light, materials and volumes in a coherent poetry of spatial harmonies. The spaces have been designed to adapt to varying living and weather requirements.
